John L. Dodd is an American lawyer who serves as the 116th president general of the National Society Sons of the American Revolution.

Career

Dodd became an attorney in 1986, after graduating from Western State University College of Law.[1] [2] He owns a law firm and has served on various county and state board commissions in California.[1] [3]

He formerly worked as a staff attorney at the California Court of Appeal.[4] Dodd served as a member of the Orange County Bar Association Board of Directors, the California Commission on Judicial Nominees Evaluation, and chaired the Committee of Bar Examiners of the State of California.[4]

Sons of the American Revolution

He joined the Sons of the American Revolution in 2001 and served as chapter president, California state president, national trustee, vice-president general of the Western District, national chancellor general, treasurer, secretary general, and president general of the society.[1] He also served on the board of the SAR Foundation.[1]

Personal life

Dodd lives with his wife, Karen, in Orange County, California.[1]
