Canoy vs. Joyi

Canoy got another shot at the IBO mini flyweight crown, now vacant, against Nkosinathi Joyi, Canoy would try to get a knockout win, stating: "I had no problem making weight, I know I'm fighting on enemy's turf so i can not let this end at the judges' hands." after the weigh-in,[19] however, Canoy would be outpointed ending in a unanimous decision loss.[20]

Second return to Mini flyweight
