James Henry Edwards (19 February 1892 - 29 March 1952) was a New Zealand socialist, communist, political activist and salesman. He was born in London, England on 19 February 1892. He unsuccessfully contested the electorate in the for the Communist Party of New Zealand (CPNZ); of the three candidates, he came last.[1] At the 1935 local-body elections he was one of three CPNZ candidates for the Auckland City Council. He was unsuccessful, polling only 13.6% but was the highest polling CPNZ candidate.[2]
