Jeff Zell is an American politician who is a member of the South Carolina Senate, representing the 36th District since 2024. Zell is a member of the Republican party.
Early life and career
Zell is retired from Shaw Air Force Base after 20 years of military service.[1]
Political career
South Carolina senate race
In 2024, Zell defeated Leon Winn in the Republican primary to face incumbent Democratic senator Kevin L. Johnson in the South Carolina Senate District 36 race.[2] [3]
Zell defeated Johnson in the general election.[4] [5] [6]
Previous races
In 2022, Zell defeated former Democratic state senator Phil P. Leventis to serve on the District 8 trustee on Sumter School District's board of trustees.[7] [8]
