Jean-Luc Bélingard, born in 1948, is a French business executive, chairman and CEO of bioMérieux from 2011 to December 2017.

Biography

Jean-Luc Bélingard is a graduate of HEC Paris and holds an MBA from Cornell University.[1]

He had a career in the pharmaceutical industry, notably at Merck & Co. and Hoffmann-La Roche where he was a member of the group's executive committee and general manager of Roche Diagnostic. From 2002 to 2010, he served as chairman and CEO of the Ipsen group, a French pharmaceutical group present in several therapeutic areas including oncology, neurology and endocrinology.[2]

As of 1 January 2011, he joined BioMérieux as chairman and CEO. Alexandre Mérieux succeeded him in December 2017.

He is also a director of Celera Genomics and Laboratory Corporation of America.[3]
