Jaylene Tyme is the stage name of Jaylene McRae,[1] a Canadian drag performer who appeared on Canada's a Drag and will compete on the upcoming fifth season of Canada's Drag Race.[2] [3]
Personal life
Jaylene Tyme is a two-spirit Indigenous trans woman. She is a survivor of the Sixties Scoop, where she was removed from her Indigenous home and placed into a settler family. She was separated from her brother at age three and lived in five different homes before age four.[4] She first discovered drag in Calgary, Alberta before moving to Vancouver. Jaylene Tyme is sober, having been in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction since the late 1990s. She is based in Vancouver as of 2024.
