Jassim Abdulaziz had a passion for television broadcasting and aspired to work in this field from a young age.
Abdulaziz devoted a significant part of his life to taking care of his bedridden father and helping to raise his siblings after his father's death, which was reportedly among the reasons he remained unmarried throughout his life.
Abdulaziz commenced his career as a news presenter in 1983.[4] [2] [6] In addition to presenting the news, he also hosted cultural and sports programs. Emrah wa Erbah (امرح واربح) was one of the popular game shows he hosted.[6] He also presented programs related to national and religious celebratory events, including Night of Eid (ليلة العيد), a popular show to which various celebrities, including media and sports personalities from Qatar and other Arab states, were invited to celebrate the special occasion.[4] He died on 1 December 2020 after a short illness.[2]
Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al Thani, CEO of Qatar Media Corporation, inaugurated new television studios bearing the name of Jassem Abdulaziz in honor of his media career.[7]
