Jaroszów is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Strzegom, within Świdnica County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland.[1]
It lies approximately 6km (04miles) north-east of Strzegom, 16km (10miles) north of Świdnica, and 47km (29miles) west of the regional capital Wrocław.
When it was part of medieval Piast-ruled Poland, in 1193, the tithe from Jaroszów was granted to the Canons Regular Monastery in Wrocław.[2] The name of the village is of Polish origin and comes from the Polish given name Jarosz.[3]
