Jarosław Kubicki (born 7 August 1995) is a Polish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Ekstraklasa club Jagiellonia Białystok.[1]
Kubicki started playing in Zagłębie Lubin, where he spent his entire junior career.[2]
On August 8, 2013, he debuted in III liga club Zagłębie Lubin II in a winning match with Polonia Trzebnica (5:0), during which he came off the bench in the 74th minute. Eight days later, he debuted in the starting lineup in a winning match with Prochowiczanka Prochowice (5:0).[3] On October 26, 2013, he scored his first goal for Zagłębie II in a winning match with Lechia Dzierżoniów (3:2).[4]
Jarosław Kubicki debuted in Ekstraklasa on May 31, 2014, in a lost match with Podbeskidzie Bielsko-Biała (3:2), during which he was a part of a starting lineup.[5] He scored the first goal for Zagłębie on September 18, 2015, in a winning match with Cracovia Kraków (4:2). During season 2015/2016, he appeared in 28 matches in Ekstraklasa and 3 in Polish Cup, scoring 4 goals.[6]
On June 2018, he was transferred to Lechia Gdańsk on a three-year deal[7] [8] as a free transfer.[9] [10] He debuted in Lechia Gdańsk on July 20, 2018, in a winning match with Jagiellonia Białystok (0:1). He scored his first goal for Lechia on October 6, 2018, in a winning match with Zagłębie Sosnowiec (4:1).[11]
On November 28, 2019, he sustained a shoulder dislocation during a training and needed to have a surgery,[12] [13] [14] which was performed a day later. On April 20, 2019, in a lost match with Piast Gliwice (0:2), he got two yellow cards and was sent off the pitch.[15]
In season 2018/2019, he appeared in 41 matches (35 in Ekstraklasa and 6 in Polish Cup) and scored 4 goals. In October 2020, he prolonged his contract for additional two years.[16] On January 25, 2023, the prolongation of his contract for another two years was announced.[17] [18]
On July 5, 2023, his transfer to Jagiellonia Białystok from Lechia Gdańsk was announced.[19] He was transferred on a two-year deal, as a free transfer.[20] [21] In Jagiellonia, he was assigned with a badge number #14.[22] [23]
He debuted in Jagiellonia on July 22, 2023, in a lost match with Raków Częstochowa (0:3), during which he came off the bench in the 64th minute,[24] replacing Michal Sáček.[25] He scored the first goal for Jagiellonia on March 30, 2024, in a winning match with ŁKS Łódź (6:0). During the winning match with Stal Mielec (4:0), on November 3, 2023,[26] [27] he sustained an ankle injury and was operated a day later.[28] He played the next match three months later, on February 11, 2024, with Widzew Łódź (3:1).[29] In that season, he gained the championship of Poland with Jagiellonia. On July 27, 2024, for the first time in his senior career,[30] he scored two goals in one match. It happened in a winning match with Radomiak Radom (2:3), both goals were scored from outside the penalty area.[31]
