Japalura Explained

Japalura is a genus of lizards in the family Agamidae. Species of Japalura are native to Pakistan, India, China, and Myanmar.[1] [2] Many species have been moved to the genus Diploderma.

Japalura variegata variegated mountain lizard, Himalayan dragon northern India, Bhutan, and Nepal.
Nota bene

a binomial authority in parentheses indicates that the species was originally described in a genus other than Japalura.
