Janakpur Bolts (ne|[[:ne:जनकपुर बोल्ट्स|जनकपुर बोल्ट्स]]) are a professional franchise cricket team representing the city of Janakpur in the Nepal Premier League.[2] The franchise is owned by Dream Sports Pvt Ltd. Their home ground is the Ram Janaki Cricket Ground, Janakpur.[3]
Janakpur Bolts, a prominent team in NPL holds the record of highest unlost streak made by any team of two.[4] The team is led by Anil Sah, who plays in the ODI match for Nepal.[5] [6]
In January 2024, the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) announced that the inaugural season of the Nepal Premier League would take place in November and December 2024.[7] [8] [9] On 2 August 2024, CAN issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) for franchise ownership. The Janakpur based franchise was sold to Dream Sports Pvt. Ltd. for NPR 2.05 crore (US$ 130 Thousand).[10]
