Jack Carty is an Australian musician and songwriter from Bellingen, New South Wales. He currently resides in Brisbane.[2]

Though none of his releases to date have achieved a high level of commercial success, they have received critical acclaim in his home country of Australia from national press including: The Australian,[3] The Weekend Australian[4] and The Sydney Morning Herald,[5] and Arts and Entertainment websites including: The Music,[6] TheAUReview,[7] Timber & Steel,[8] FasterLouder,[9] Beat,[10] and Music Feeds.[11]

Carty has toured in Australia, the United States and Canada, appearing at festivals such as: South By South West (SXSW),[12] Canadian Music Week (CMW),[13] Woodford Folk Festival,[14] Queenscliff Music Festival (QMF),[15] and Mullum Music Festival.[16] Carty has supported artists including: Josh Pyke,[17] Justin Townes Earle,[18] Matt Corby,[19] Katie Noonan,[20] Robert Ellis, Ingrid Michaelson[21] and Joshua Radin.[22] Carty completed his own headline tours (the most recent being in August/September/October 2013 launching "The Predictable Crisis of Modern Life" E.P.[23]

In 2010 Carty won "Acoustic Singer-Songwriter of the Year" at the National MusicOZ Awards.[30]
