Issel (in French pronounced as /isɛl/; Occitan (post 1500);: Issèl) is a commune in the Aude department in southern France.
The village is laid out in the form of a circulade. It is positioned on the edge of an area of wooded hills, some 5km (03miles) north of Castelnaudary.
