Eslamabad-e Gharb (Persian: اسلام‌آباد غرب) is a city in the Central District of Eslamabad-e Gharb County, Kermanshah province, Iran, serving as capital of both the county and the district.[2] It is the second largest city in the province and is known for its oak trees.[3]

Language and ethnicity

The city is mainly populated by Kurds.[4]

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the city's population was 89,430 in 20,956 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 94,699 people in 25,673 households.[6] The 2016 census measured the population of the city as 90,559 people in 26,503 households.[7]
