Gameplay

Common themes include player running through a landscape teeming with zombies and moving left or right to dodge them. The player has no choice but to move forward and get as far as possible (or up to the destination point) before dying. Weapons can be picked up from supply crates as the player runs past.

Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days (2024)

Announced in December 2022, a spin-off title of the franchise. Currently in development, it is a side-scrolling game set to release in 2024 for PC.^{[9] [10]}
