The International Public Debate Association (IPDA) is a national debate league. The IPDA was founded in 1997 at St. Mary's University in San Antonio, Texas by Alan Cirlin, Jack Rogers, and Trey Gibson.[1] [2]
IPDA tournaments consist of different levels. There are individual debates (one on one), and two-person teams (two on two). In addition, there are three divisions: Novice, Varsity, and Professional.[3]
To be eligible to participate, members must be an undergraduate college or university student.[4]
