Insurgência is a Trotskyist political organization in Brazil. The organization was established in October 2013 after a merge of various factions within the Socialism and Liberty Party. In 2016, the "Commune", "Subversion", and "Communism and Freedom" factions split from Insurgência. The organization is currently led by Richard J. Youle. Insurgência, along with its various sub factions, form the Brazilian branch of the Fourth International.[1]
