Image Fight II: Operation Deepstriker explained

is a 1992 vertically scrolling shooter video game released by Irem for the NEC PC Engine Super CD-ROMĀ². [1] [2] [3] It is the sequel of Image Fight.[4]

The game was available on the Nintendo Wii's Virtual Console platform.[5] In 2023, it was included in the Irem Collection Vol.1 retrogaming release for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series.[6] [7]

Reception

Markt+Technik's gave the title a 72% rating, stating that the title is not innovative and is more difficult than its predecessor.[8]

gave it a 58% rating, calling it bland and derivative in a playful review written as a radio transmission.[9]

The coverage by was very positive, praising the game's soundtrack, gameplay, and difficulty. [10]

Hardcore Gaming 101 criticized the title's cutscenes and music, rating it as a middle-tier game for its year.[11]
