Ido Tako Explained

Ido Tako (Hebrew: עידו טאקו; born 4 November 2001) is an Israeli actor. He is known for starring in the 2023 Israeli war drama film The Vanishing Soldier and in the 2024 American biblical epic film Mary.

Early life

Tako was born on 4 November 2001. He grew up in Tel Aviv. His family is Jewish; his father's side was from Iraq, and his mother's were Holocaust survivors from Poland.^[1] His mother died of cancer when he was a child.^[1]

Career

In 2021, Tako starred in a youth television series about an Israeli youth group's journey to the German extermination camps in Poland.^{[2] [3]}

Tako starred in the 2023 Israeli war drama film The Vanishing Soldier as Shlomi.^[4] He was also in the 2023 youth drama television series Metukim.

In 2024, he acted in the film Come Closer. He plays Saint Joseph in the upcoming 2024 film Mary.^[5]
