I Can See Your Voice Indonesia is an Indonesian television mystery music game show series based on the South Korean programme of the same title. It premiered on MNCTV on 29 August 2016,[1] [2] and has been aired for five seasons.
Presented with a group of "mystery singers", the guest artist(s) must attempt to eliminate bad singers from the group without ever hearing them sing, assisted by clues and a celebrity panel over the course of several rounds. At the end of a game, the last remaining mystery singer is revealed as either good or bad by means of a duet between them and one of the guest artists.
The Indonesian adaptation has two different game formats:
The guest artist(s) eliminate mystery singers at the end of each round, with the last remaining mystery singer ended up in a duet performance by one of the guest artists.
A variation of the original South Korean rules adapted from Giọng ải giọng ai, when two opposing guest artists eliminate one singer each during the proper game phase, and then remain one singer each to join the final performance. At the end of a game, the following conditions for winning mystery singers chosen by opposing guest artists, depending on the outcome of final performances, if:
If the singer is good, he/she will feature on a privilege video; if the singer is bad, he/she wins a cash prize.
A local adaptation of I Can See Your Voice in Indonesia was first mentioned, as per report by The Chosun Ilbo at the time of its upcoming (South Korean) third season in March 2016;[3] this was subsequently confirmed by Media Nusantara Citra in July 2016.[4]
Filiming of the show took place at MNC Studios in Kebon Jeruk, Jakarta. During the COVID-19 pandemic, it has filmed under implementing health and safety protocols only in the fifth season.[5]
I Can See Your Voice Indonesia debuted on 28 August 2016.[1] [2] A second season began airing with a first part on 30 January 2017, and then second part on 15 May 2017. In the third season having premiered on 11 March 2018,[6] [7] defeated Iis Dahlia on its first episode under battle format on 17 June 2018.[8] [9] Despite having aired entirely in 2019, the fourth season premiered on the last day of 2018.[10] The fifth season that initially scheduled to premiere on 18 January 2021,[11] was later moved to 25 January 2021.[12] [13]
played in the first episode featuring an entire lineup of kids as mystery singers (in the second season) on 24 June 2017.[14]
In the fifth season, Bigo Live conducted a competitive event I Can See Your Talent, in which the top three participants based on voting popularity, would allow to perform a duet alongside one of the guest artists;[15] this was eventually won by Loui Chen, Clara Kharisma, and Farida Meliana.[16]
The series has a panel of celebrities who assist the guest artist(s) to decipher mystery singers' identities throughout the game. Alongside with mainstays, guest panelists also appear since the first season. Overall, 11 different members have been assigned as panelists, with their original lineup being Wendy Armoko,,, Julia Perez, Ayu Ting Ting, and .
Beside them, subsequent members that have assigned panelist duties also include (from 3rd season); Chika Jessica, (from 4th season);, and Okky Lukman (from 5th season).
