ITV Polaris explained

The ITV Polaris is a French single-place, paraglider that was designed by Xavier Demoury and produced by ITV Parapentes of Épagny, Haute-Savoie. It is now out of production.[1]

Design and development

The Polaris was designed as an intermediate glider. The models are each named for their approximate wing area in square metres.[1]

Polaris V2 24
  • Small-sized model for lighter pilots. Its 11.091NaN1 span wing has a wing area of 24m2, 51 cells and the aspect ratio is 5.12:1. The pilot weight range is 50to. The glider model is AFNOR Standard certified.[1]

  • Mid-sized model for medium-weight pilots. Its 11.531NaN1 span wing has a wing area of 25.95m2, 51 cells and the aspect ratio is 5.12:1. The pilot weight range is 70to. The glider model is AFNOR Standard certified.[1]
    Polaris V2 28
  • Large-sized model for heavier pilots. Its 11.981NaN1 span wing has a wing area of 27.99m2, 51 cells and the aspect ratio is 5.12:1. The pilot weight range is 90to. The glider model is AFNOR Standard certified.[1]
