INS Nilgiri (2019) explained

INS Nilgiri is the lead ship of the stealth guided missile frigates being built by Mazagon Shipyard Dock Limited for the Indian Navy.[1] The ship was laid down on 28 December 2017 and it was launched on 28 September 2019. The ship is expected to be delivered to the Navy by November 2022.[2] The ship embarked for its maiden sea trials on 25 August 2024.[3] Nilgiri will be commissioned in December 2024.[4]
