iDream Education, based in Gurugram, Haryana, is an Indian social ed-tech organization promoting digital learning in K-12 education. In collaboration with NGOs and CSR partners, the organization provides digital learning solutions to schools, such as smart classes, tablets with content, and a learning application- iPrep.[1] Its digital resources include interactive content like educational animated videos, practice exercises, assessments, digital simulations and e-books, all aligned with the curriculum and available in bilingual formats, with integrated assessments and reports.[2]
To date, iDream Education has supported digital learning initiatives for numerous schools across India. It has partnered with major brands and names such as Samsung, LG, Cipla Foundation, Tata, Saint-Gobain and Rotary to implement scalable digital learning solutions in classrooms.[3]
In 2009, Rohit Prakash established an organization called iDream, initially focusing on creating online sustainability and environmental courses for school students.[4] Over time, iDream shifted towards sustainability consulting for schools, offering environmental audits and education on topics such as carbon footprint and energy usage. During this phase, Prakash’s visit to a government school revealed a stark contrast in educational resources between urban and rural areas, prompting questions about the state of government schools. Around the same time, Puneet Goyal, who had extensive experience in educational technology and setting up interactive learning labs, encountered similar challenges in government schools. With a shared interest in addressing last-mile learning obstacles, Rohit and Puneet co-founded iDream Education in 2016 with a vision to bridge these gaps.
In September of the same year, iDream Education launched TABLAB- a tablet-based ICT lab tailored for schools. This solution offered tablets, a storage and charging rack, multiple categories of learning content, and student-wise reporting. In 2022, the organization introduced its Pesonalized Adaptive Learning (PAL) solution in Haryana government schools under the e-Adhigham scheme, marking an expansion in its ed tech offerings. Recently, the organization has focused on further developing its learning application- iPrep with a wider range of tools and features.
iDream Education is focused on developing a holistic solution to address multiple educational challenges, particularly in public sector education, by creating a platform that serves both government and private school learners. The organization emphasizes two main differentiators in its approach: designing solutions that are simple to set up and use within classrooms, and offering its iPrep platform and content. iPrep is structured to facilitate "Learn Unlimited" by overcoming barriers such as language medium, multi-grade and multi-category access, curriculum alignment, and affordability. The platform is bilingual.
iDream Education offers the following digital solutions:
Some of the major projects and initiatives undertaken by iDream Education are as follows:
Through a partnership with Cipla Foundation, iDream Education addressed learning disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic across 116 schools in Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Madhya Pradesh, impacting over 6,000 students, primarily in grades 9 and 10. In response to limited access to digital resources during lockdowns, the project provided Android tablets preloaded with state board-aligned content, iPrep Digital Libraries, and iPrep Smart Classes.
In partnership with Powergrid iDream Education provided digital resources to ten Army Goodwill Schools in Jammu & Kashmir. The implementation included iPrep Digital Classrooms, iPrep Digital Libraries with tablets, and the iPrep mobile app.
In East Jaintia Hills, iDream Education launched Project Ka Lawei across 50 schools. The program, reaching over 6,600 students and 400 teachers, introduced Smart Classrooms and tablets equipped with offline assessment capabilities.[14]
In response to historical learning gaps worsened by the COVID-19 pandemic[15] iDream Education’s PAL solution was implemented in government schools across 22 districts in Haryana, supporting over 2.5 lakh students in grades 11 and 12.[16] The project featured the iPrep PAL app, offering adaptive, curriculum-aligned content, diagnostic assessments, and interactive resources such as quizzes, videos, and digital books.
