Hypericum umbraculoides explained

Hypericum umbraculoides is a species of flowering plant, a deciduous shrub in the St. John's wort family, Hypericaceae. It is the sole species in the section Hypericum sect. Umbraculoides.[1]

Description

The stems of Hypericum umbraculoides are reddish and its bark is grey. The oblong, papery leaves are sessile, up to 50mm long and 30mm broad, and paler underneath.[1] The flowers are up to 30mm across with 5 golden-yellow petals. Its growth rate and height are unknown.[2]

Distribution

Hypericum umbraculoides is known to be found only in Oaxaca, Mexico,[3] in arid to semiarid climates.[4]
