Hospital is the debut studio album by the American musician Gary Young and his backing band Hospital, released in 1994.[2] [3] It was Young's first solo effort after being asked to leave the band Pavement.[4]

Background and recording

The album was recorded in Stockton, California, at Young's studio. "Geri" is about Young's wife.[5] A video was produced for "Plant Man".[5] Young promoted the album by playing on the 1995 Lollapalooza tour.[6]

Critical reception

AllMusic described it as "a roller coaster of chaotic and disjointed songs."
