Herdland Township is a township in Clay County, Iowa, USA. As of the 2000 census, its population was 210.

History

Herdland Township was created in 1873.[1]

Geography

Herdland Township covers an area of 35.57sqmi and contains no incorporated settlements, although the unincorporated community of Cornell is located here. According to the USGS, it contains three cemeteries: Burr Oak, Liberty and Osborn.

The streams of Montgomery Creek and Willow Creek run through this township.
