Hellinsia inquinatus explained
Hellinsia inquinatus is a moth of the family Pterophoridae. It is found in North America, including Florida, Mississippi,[1] Oklahoma, Tennessee,[2] Maryland,[3] Alabama, Texas, Missouri, Colorado and Arizona. It has also been recorded from Hispaniola,[4] Mexico, Puerto Rico and St. Thomas Island.
The wingspan is about 16-.[5] Adults are on wing in April, June and December.[6]
The larvae feed on Ambrosia artemissiifolia,[7] Ambrosia trifida and Parthenium hysterophorus.
