Season 10 of the American competitive reality television series Hell's Kitchen premiered on June 4, 2012 on Fox and concluded on September 10, 2012. The filming of Season 10 was done in June 2011.[1] Chef de Cuisine Christina Wilson won the season and received a head chef position at Gordon Ramsay Steak at the Paris Las Vegas in the Las Vegas suburb of Paradise, Nevada.

Gordon Ramsay returned as head chef, Scott Leibfried and Andi van Willigan returned as sous chefs and James Lukanik returned as the maƮtre d'. Three contestants from this season Dana Cohen, Barbie Marshall, and Robyn Almodovar who finished 3rd, 4th and 6th respectively in this season would all later come back to the show to compete as contestants for a second time in Hell's Kitchen (American season 17) (All-Stars) where they finished 8th, 9th and 5th respectively with Cohen also coming back to the show in Hell's Kitchen (American season 12) to serve as a guest judge during the black jackets challenge in that season along with Hell's Kitchen (American season 3) winner Rock Harper and Hell's Kitchen (American season 9) winner Paul Niedermann.

Wilson, the winner of this season has served as the sous chef for the red team in season 15 when she temporarily substituted for Andi van Willigan because she was getting married and permanently since season 17 (All-Stars) after Andi left the show while expecting her first child. Additionally, Clemenza Caserta, who finished 5th in this season, equaled the record for the most nominations for elimination as he was nominated for elimination seven times before he was finally eliminated equalling the record set by Autumn Lewis in season 7, Sabrina Brimhall in season 8 and Elise Wims in season 9. They would later be joined by Scott Commings who was the winner of season 12 and holds the record for the most nominations for elimination by a eventual winner of the show breaking the record which was previously held by Christina Machamer who was the winner of season 4 as she was nominated for elimination five times during that season before she eventually won it.

Production and development

This season saw an alteration to the show's format, with many episodes now being two-parters, depicting the team challenge and reward/punishment one night, followed by service and elimination the following night. This is the first and only season to date where one challenge produced no winner and both teams faced punishment. It is also the first and only season to date to have all eliminations as normal (no quits/leave from hell's kitchen or leaving in mid-service like Joy in season 12, medivacs/left from hell's kitchen because sick and did not comeback, or mid-service eliminations/ejected during service).
