Halaran is a village and panchayat located in the Kahara tehsil of Doda district in the Indian administered union territory of Jammu and Kashmir.[1] The village is situated approximately 13 kilometers away from the sub-divisional headquarters, Thathri, and 43 kilometers away from the district headquarters, Doda.
Halaran covers a geographical area of 0.356 square kilometers (35.6 hectares).
As of the 2011 Census of India, Halaran has a total population of 194 people, with 97 males and 97 females. The literacy rate of the village is 60.82%, with 71.13% of males and 50.52% of females being literate. The village comprises about 39 households.[2]
