György Mezey (born 7 September 1941) is a Hungarian former association football player, who played as a midfielder. He later became a well-regarded coach.

He was coach of the Hungary national team from 1983 to 1986, leading the team to the 1986 FIFA World Cup.[1] During the 2006 FIFA World Cup he was part of FIFA's Technical Study Group.[2]
