Green Township is one of fifteen townships in Wayne County, Indiana, United States. As of the 2010 census, its population was 1,222 and it contained 455 housing units.[3]
Green Township was organized in 1821.[4] Green Township was named for one John Green, a Native American.[5]
According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of, of which (or 99.65%) is land and (or 0.35%) is water.[3] The streams of Collor Creek, Fruit Branch, Hopewell Run, Morgan Creek, Town Creek, Well Brook, William Creek and Williamsburg Creek run through this township.
