The Toyota Grand Highlander, marketed in their luxury car brand Lexus as the Lexus TX, is a mid-size crossover SUV[4] with three-row seating produced by Toyota since 2023. The Grand Highlander was introduced for the North American market on 8 February 2023. While sharing the nameplate and the GA-K platform with the regular Highlander, the Grand Highlander is longer, taller, and wider, and features entirely different exterior and interior styling.[5] [6]
In the North American market, the Grand Highlander is positioned between the smaller Highlander and the larger Tundra-based Sequoia.[7]
In the U.S., the Grand Highlander is available in three grade levels: XLE, Limited, and Platinum.[8]
The Grand Highlander is built around the 2.4-liter T24A-FTS turbocharged I4 engine producing NaNhp and of torque. Also available is a hybrid powertrain from the 2023 Crown, marketed as the Hybrid Max, which pairs electric motors with a 2.4-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder and has a 5000lb towing capacity.[10] The 2.5-liter hybrid powertrain is also available on XLE and Limited grades.
