Government Habib College of Technology Nawabshah, formerly known as Habib College of Industrial Technology, is a government college located in Nawabshah, Sindh, Pakistan.[1] [2] It is affiliated with the Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science & Technology.[3] [4] [5]
The Government Habib College of Technology was founded as Habib College of Industrial Technology in Nawabshah.[6] It was inaugurated in 1964 by Ayub Khan.[6] The inaugural program was a diploma in chemical technology.[7]
In the 1970s, the college was nationalised by the government of Pakistan under Zulfikar Ali Bhutto administration.[6]
From its inception until 2017, the college was affiliated with Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET) located in Jamshoro.[8] In 1996, it was given a status of constituent college of MUET.[9] Later, it became a technical college affiliated with Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science & Technology.[10] [11]
