Gomphosphaeria Explained

Gomphosphaeria (sometimes written Gonphosphaeria) is a genus of cyanobacteria belonging to the family Gomphosphaeriaceae.^[1]

The genus was first described by Friedrich Traugott Kützing in 1836.

The genus has cosmopolitan distribution.^[2]
