Gmina Baćkowice is a rural gmina (administrative district) in Opatów County, Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, in south-central Poland. Its seat is the village of Baćkowice, which lies approximately 14km (09miles) west of Opatów and 450NaN0 east of the regional capital Kielce.[1]

The gmina covers an area of 96.25km2, and as of 2006 its total population is 5,177.

The gmina contains part of the protected area called Jeleniowska Landscape Park.
