Girlfriends is a Maldivian web series written and directed by Ibrahim Wisan.^{[1] [2]} It stars Fathimath Myeha, Aishath Lahfa and Aisha Ali in main roles.^[3] The pilot episode of the series was released on 12 August 2021.^{[4] [5]}

Release and reception

The first season consisting of 12 episodes was premiered on 12 August 2021 through Medianet Multi Screen and opened to positive reviews from critics.^[6] The second season was premiered on 17 December 2023.^[7]
