Gibbula turbinoides explained

Gibbula turbinoides is a species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Trochidae, the top snails.

Description

The size of the shell varies between 4 mm and 10 mm. The globose shell was previously thought to be a smaller variety of Gibbula adansonii. It is rose-red, yellowish, or brown, with short white flammules below the sutures. The remainder of the shell minutely punctate with white.[1]

Distribution

This species occurs in the Mediterranean Sea and in the Atlantic Ocean off Portugal.
