The German champions in the sport of ice hockey since 1912.

German champions (men's)

1912–1948: German Ice Hockey Championship

1949–1990: DDR-Oberliga (East Germany)

See main article: DDR-Oberliga (ice hockey). Until 1990, the DDR-Oberliga covered only East Germany. After the reunification of Germany, DDR-Oberliga's clubs joined Bundesliga.

1949–1958: Eishockey-Oberliga (West Germany)

1959–1994: Eishockey-Bundesliga (West Germany)

See main article: Eishockey-Bundesliga. Until 1990, the Bundesliga covered only West Germany. After the reunification of Germany, Bundesliga was joined by clubs from DDR-Oberliga.

1995–present: Deutsche Eishockey Liga
