Gabbia (gastropod) explained

Gabbia is a genus of a freshwater snails with an operculum, aquatic prosobranch gastropod mollusks in the family Bithyniidae.

Glöer & Pešić (2012) recognized Gabbia as a subgenus of the genus Bithynia.
