Gábor Görgey (born Artúr Görgey; 22 November 1929 – 11 April 2022) was a Hungarian writer, poet, director and politician, who served as Minister of Culture between 2002 and 2003. He was a descendant of the freedom fighter General Artúr Görgey who served as Minister of War during the Hungarian Revolution of 1848. He died on 11 April 2022, at the age of 92.[1]
His first drama, the Komámasszony, hol a stukker? brought significant successes. It was shown in the United States too.
