Franklin Township is one of fifteen townships in DeKalb County, Indiana. As of the 2020 census, its population was 1,367, up from 1,182 at the 2010 census,[4] and it contained 510 housing units.
Franklin Township was organized in 1837, making it the oldest township in DeKalb County.[5]
According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of, of which (or 99.80%) is land and (or 0.20%) is water.[4] Terry Lake is in this township.
