Frank A. Burr[1] (1843 – January 1894) was an American newspaper reporter and author.[2] He was a staff correspondent for The Philadelphia Press.[3] He wrote a book about James Addams Beaver and another with Richard J. Hinton about Phillip Sheridan.
He was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan.[4] He spent time with Chippewa during his youth.[5] [2] His father Ezra D. Burr was an M.D., probate court judge, and editor.[5]
He was a printer.[6] He served in the Civil War. Russell A. Alger was his company's captain.[5]
He contributed to the newspaper The Daily Register.[7] [8] He was also a Pennsylvania Republican.[9]
Burr died[10] in January 1894.
