Frank A. Burr^[1] (1843 – January 1894) was an American newspaper reporter and author.^[2] He was a staff correspondent for The Philadelphia Press.^[3] He wrote a book about James Addams Beaver and another with Richard J. Hinton about Phillip Sheridan.

He was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan.^[4] He spent time with Chippewa during his youth.^{[5] [2]} His father Ezra D. Burr was an M.D., probate court judge, and editor.^[5]

He was a printer.^[6] He served in the Civil War. Russell A. Alger was his company's captain.^[5]

He contributed to the newspaper The Daily Register.^{[7] [8]} He was also a Pennsylvania Republican.^[9]

Burr died^[10] in January 1894.
