Force of Nature Natalia is a British documentary film which follows the life of the famous dancer Natalia Osipova and the preparations for her fifth season as the principal dancer of the Royal Ballet. The film was released in 2019 and presented by Asterisk Films, Bird and Carrot and Foxy Films in association with Sky Arts,[1] directed and produced by Gerald Fox, Alexandrina Markvo and Justine Waddell, Starring Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Jonathan Goddard, Natalia Osipova, Kevin O'Hare, Arthur Pita and Natalia Makarova.[2] The film premiered at Curzon Mayfair, before a successful theatrical run at other Curzon and Indy cinemas across the UK. It then premiered on Sky Arts in the UK alongside a full-length version of Mother.[3] The film was then broadcast on television channels around the world and is currently available on DVD/Blu-Ray released by Opus Arte and purchasable on Amazon and other platforms.

The documentary film Force of Nature Natalia is a year-long portrayal of the life of Natalia Osipova, an accomplished dancer and principal of the Royal Ballet. The documentary covers her preparation for her fifth season as a principal dancer, her work with renowned contemporary choreographers, and provides access to her personal archive.[4] The film also showcases her rehearsal process for two new dance works – Mother by Arthur Pita and Medusa by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui. Furthermore, the documentary captures Natalia Osipova in action as she performs both lead roles in Natalia Makarova's classic production of La Bayadère for the Royal Ballet.
