Florien Reesink Explained

Florien Reesink (born June 9, 1998), is a Dutch volleyball player.[1] She played in the Netherlands for Talentteam Papendal, Sliedrecht Sport and Apollo 8 from 2022 to 2023. Reesink played for the German USC Potsdam. She exchanged this club for the Swiss Genève Volley in 2023. Since 2024, Reesink has played in Germany again for MTV Stuttgart.

Career

Florien Reesink started her career at team Papendal in Arnhem. After this, she played for Sliedrecht Sport for a number of years. She then played for VV Apollo 8. In 2022, after being without a club for months, she signed a contract with the USC Potsdam. After one season, she left this club for the Swiss Genève Volley. Reesink moved to the German MTV Stuttgart.

Reesink also plays for the Dutch national volleyball team. In 2022, she competed in the 2019 Volleyball Nations League, 2022 Volleyball Women's World Championship, 2022 Volleyball Nations League, 2023 European Volleyball Championship,[2] 2023 Volleyball Nations League, 2024 Volleyball Nations League,[3] In 2024, the Netherlands qualified for the 2024 Olympic Games via a top ranking on the world rankings. She was selected for the Olympic Games by national coach Felix Koslowski.[4] [5]
