Floridia (pronounced as /it/; Sicilian: Ciuriḍḍia[1] in Sicilian pronounced as /çʊˈɾiɖɖja/; from Latin Latin: Florae dies "day of Flora" or the adjective floridus "florid")[2] is a town and comune in the Province of Syracuse, Sicily (Italy).
Floridia lies 12km (07miles) west of Syracuse. Its principal industries are agriculture, livestock, and manufacturing.
