Florence Woerth, born Florence Henry on August 16, 1956, is a French financial analyst, specializing in wealth management first at Rothschild then at Clymène and one of the protagonists of the Woerth-Bettencourt affair.[1] She is also the wife of the politician Éric Woerth. In June 2010, she became a member of the supervisory board of Hermès (for three years).
Florence Woerth is the daughter of François Henry, a retired surgeon living in Loiret.[2] She is the wife of Éric Woerth with whom she has two children.
She is a graduate of HEC Paris (1981).[3]
Since 1981, Florence Woerth has worked as a financial analyst, then gradually moved towards the position of portfolio manager. She first worked at Nouhailetas (stockbroker) and then as a manager for four years at the brokerage firm Ferri & Ferri Germe.[4]
She became a wealth manager at Banque Palatine, then in 1997 at the private bank Rothschild & Cie Gestion. In 2002, she took on the position of manager in charge of developing the bank's major clients and of private management communication.[5]
In November 2007, she was hired by Patrice de Maistre, Liliane Bettencourt's wealth manager. She became investment director of Clymène, the financial holding company of billionaire Liliane Bettencourt. On June 21, 2010, following the scandals of the Woerth-Bettencourt affair, her husband Éric Woerth announced the upcoming resignation from his position at Clymène.[6]
Florence Woerth joined the supervisory board of the luxury house Hermès in June 2010.[7]
Florence Woerth is a member of the Association des gérants de patrimoines privés (AGPP) and the French Society of Financial Analysts. She is a director of the Friends of the Château de Chantilly Museum, a director of the Condé Foundation, and a director of the Jean Bernard Association (an association for blood diseases).[8]
Since 2008, Florence Woerth has also been one of the founders and president of Écurie Dam's, a SAS owned exclusively by women whose goal is to acquire and race thoroughbred horses.[9]
