First Light Fraser Explained
First Light Fraser was a popular Australian radio serial created by Maurice Francis. It began in 1942 and concerned a British secret agent who worked behind enemy lines, played by John Nugent-Hayward. The series was one of the most popular in Australia in its day.[1] Several actors played Fraser.[2]
Max Afford wrote many episodes when Francis went into the army.[3] [4]
It was adapted into a 1945 book by Francis.[5] Francis assigned his royalties to the official receiver when he went bankrupt.[6]
