Finn Anthony Delap (born 10 June 2005) is an English footballer who plays as a defender for Buxton FC on loan from club Burton Albion.
Delap joined the Burton Albion academy following his release from Derby County, signing a scholarship in July 2021.[2] He spent time on loan with Southern League Premier Division Central club Ilkeston Town in the 2022–23 season,[3] signing a new contract upon his return to Burton.[4]
In August 2023, Delap joined Mickleover, returning to the club in February 2024, where he signed a new one-year deal.[5] [6] On 10 February 2024, he made his senior debut for the club, coming off of the bench in a victory away at Bristol Rovers.[7] On 12 March 2024, he joined National League side, Woking on loan for the remainder of the campaign.[8] Delap joined Buxton FC on loan from Burton Albion in September 2024.
Delap is the son of former professional footballer Rory Delap, who represented the Republic of Ireland national team.[9] His brother is Ipswich Town forward Liam Delap.
