Faiqa Riaz (Punjabi and ; born 6 September 1999) is a Pakistani sprinter.[1] [2] She competed in women's 100m race but was unable to qualify and ranked 24th.[4] Faiqa used to be a field hockey player and used to play as a right-in and right-out. She also attended Pakistan's hockey team camp for Thailand tour in 2016. She then left hockey to focus exclusively on athletics. She participated in the South Asian Junior Athletics Championships in Sri Lanka in 2018 which was her debut event. In 2023, Riaz became Pakistan's fastest women by winning the 100m race at National Athletics Championship in Attock representing WAPDA.[5] [6]
Faiqa Riaz completed her intermediate studies at Lahore College for Women University and earned her Bachelor's degree from Superior University, Lahore.[7] She further continued her education and got a Master’s degree in Accounting and Finance. [8]
