Eva Carboni is a rock-blues singer and songwriter born on the Italian island of Sardinia.

Career

Carboni studied singing, graduating at the Vocal Power Academy in Los Angeles with the vocal coach Elisabeth Howard. The first years after graduation she was a vocal coach in Italy.[1] [2]

She began her collaboration with the British producer and songwriter Andy Littlewood under his label Mad Ears Productions in 2017,[3] being a guest vocalist on Mick Simpson's album 'Black Rain' on 'River of Life',[4] Carboni's albums include 'Italia Square' and 'Smoke and Mirrors', along with several singles and the EP 'In The Name of The Blues',[5] with a blend of blues, jazz and rock influence, including her song 'Love Me Tonight'.[6] Her albums include contributions by British musicians including Mick Simpson, Dave Hunt, Andrius Linsdell, Pete Nelson, and Bob Steves and the Italian Giovanni Bruno.[7]

In 2019 Carboni released her first 14-track album 'Italia Square', produced by Littlewood. She recorded songs like the blues ballad 'Love me Tonight', written by Simpson and Littlewood.

In December 2019 she released a gospel influenced 5-track EP, 'Wrong Turn'. This limited edition CD also includes 'Unfinished Business', Turning My Back On The Blues', 'River of Life', and 'Forever Long (Orchestral Mix)'.

'Smoke and Mirrors',her second album, was released in May 2022. It contains 12 songs signed by Littlewood including one written by Carboni and Littlewood, 'That Night', her debut as a songwriter..was also released a 7-minute extended mix of the track "Call My Name" from the second album, once again featuring Simpson on guitar.

Greg "Bluesdog" Szalony (CD Reviewer at Blues Blast Online Magazine) writes:

“Thankfully her accent is minor, causing a few words to pass your ears, but not biggie. Her voice is so strong and sexy that you hardly notice".[8]

In December 2023 the new single 'The Magic', written by Carboni and Littlewood, was released.[9]

Came out in early 2024 the EP 'In The Name of The Blues' a 6 tracks of rock and blues, "In the Name of the Blues", "The South Wind Blows", "Stony Ground", and "That Devil Man". This EP features two more songs that were previously released as singles: "Independence Street" and "We Come Alive" with Carboni again accompanied by Simpson on guitar.[10] [11] [12]
